How to Sell at Scale (Without Annoying Your Audience)

    By Kieran Drew

Last week, I watched a clip of Grant Cardone telling off a salesman for not following a script.

The comment section was rife with angry (apparently hobbyless) people—saying the process was fake or forced.

    But welcome to sales.

Scripts exist because people suck at saying the right things at the right time.

I used them when I was a dentist, too.

Whilst they were effective, they weren’t enjoyable. And once you understood the principles, being a ‘normal’ person was more effective anyway.

But when I started my online business, it was the same sh*t with different packaging:

Steal my cold DM objection obliterator script!

Follow these steps to turn your social media into a selling maaachine!

Become a millionaire by whispering these sweet words into your prospect’s ear (ok I made this one up, but some of the promises are equally ridiculous).

I buckled up, thinking this was the way.

But as I prepared to dive into DM hell, I paused for a moment.

    Something didn’t feel right.

Because online, you have what a face-to-face salesperson does not:

    Media.

The Internet is the world’s biggest megaphone. But people choose to squeak like a mouse in the DMs instead of letting their content do the talking.

    They’re chasing instead of attracting.

When you write, you’re having a 1-1 conversation with hundreds, if not thousands, of people—it’s a much more efficient way to sell.

But if content magically turned into money, many creators would be rich.

You and I both know this isn’t the case.

Much like with sales scripts, you need a repeatable method to cover the crucial components.

    For example:

You must show you understand your audience’s problems and feel their pain (empathy). You have to explain how you help and what makes you different. You have to prove your points (and not just state them). And you have to write engagingly because content is like a magnet—the more someone reads, the stronger the pull becomes.

If this sounds like work, don’t worry.

It’s a skill like any other—something you can learn.

It’s why I built Magnetic Emails.

When I realised email was a powerful way to sell at scale, I built a 6-step system to focus on the needle-movers.

But unlike boring scripts and braindead templates, the Magnetic Email approach follows a set of prompts and frameworks that give you creative freedom—instead of stripping it away.

So you get to write about ideas you believe in…

And make good money as a result.
